You are right Geoff, if asparagus is inactive over the winter, then frost will not harm it. However, if the shoots are coming out and the frost hits, I believe (although there is some disagreement on that) that the shoots, damaged by frost, die off and the plant takes days to produce new shoots.

I don’t think we need to worry about it in Sydney area though 🙂

Nice list, but I’ve got to question to “frost tender” attribute on Asparagus. It dies down over winter then comes back in Spring.
